All Week 1 quests in Fortnite OG explained

As is traditional with Fortnite quests, week 1 is full of pretty simple tasks while players get comfortable with the new map. Here’s the complete list of week one missions:

  • Discover 20 named locations
  • Deal 500 damage with Pistols or Sniper Rifles
  • Travel ‘1500’ while sprinting
  • Gain 200 Shields
  • Deal 3000 damage to opponents

Out of every Week 1 task, Discover 20 named locations will likely take the longest. Fortunately, you can highlight areas you’ve yet to visit by tracking the quest.

If a quest is trackable, you can do so by opening the map screen and selecting it. Tracking is optional but more precise than doing it without markers.

As for the remaining quests, you’ll complete these through regular gameplay. You should always prioritize having full shields, and although 3000 damage sounds like a lot, you’ll easily exceed that over a few sessions.

Any tips for dealing damage with pistols and sniper rifles?

I recommend using the Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle for this task, as it deals a ton of damage per shot. The weapon is more forgiving than its bolt-action counterparts, although the bullets are quite slow. If you’re struggling, I recommend charging into fights, guns blazing, with the required weapons. You don’t need to win to deal damage, and you’ll quickly net 500 damage with a high-rarity rifle.

Are there any other quests after I’ve completed week 1?

Quests are time-gated in Fortnite, so you’ll have to wait for the next batch to go live. That said, you can make a start on the Milestone quests while you’re waiting. Every task in the Milestone tab is meant to last the entire season, and the requirements become more demanding as you progress.

Weekly quests usually get more creative as the season rolls on, so we will likely see that with Fortnite OG as well.
