To start, you’ll need access to the overall Sojourners’ Ghastly Reverie event. To do this, make sure you have completed the Trailblaze Mission: “Xianzhou Luofu – Obsequies Performed, A Long Road Ahead.” This is just part of the main storyline, so you should have completed this already if you’re up to date.

Note: The event has limited-time rewards that run from November 15 until December 25. However, a portion of the event will remain playable after December 25 as a permanent gameplay addition, which should include this quest.

The quest begins with a conversation with Guinaifen, who reveals that she has experienced a supernatural event. Guinaifen is a livestreamer who might feasibly fake something for views, so it’s hard to believe her at first. Still, we’ll check this out anyway. This quest will open up a new zone: the Fyxestroll Garden, which you can access by going through the Exalting Sanctum.

You’ll have to talk to quite a few characters and follow some quest markers to the correct locations. You’ll enter a battle against some new enemies introduced in Version 1.5, Wraith Wardens, who have a mechanic that can stun you if you’re attacked twice. Beat this quick and easy fight and continue. You’ll soon meet Huohuo, a new playable character introduced in this quest.

Eventually, your quest will lead you to a mysterious mirror that actually transports you into a strange and paranormal new map. Your next objective is to escape, which can get a little tricky. There are some puzzles you’ll have to beat along the way. For the first puzzle, you’ll have to find a correct exit. Wander through the maze until you reach an intersection with three openable doors. There should be one door with only one lantern above it, as opposed to two. Enter that door.

For the next puzzle, you’ll encounter a number of red and blue vases. The trick here is to break all of the red vases but leave all of the blue vases.

The next puzzle you’ll encounter is a room filled with treasure boxes. The trick here is to open the box in the center, the only “Basic Treasure” box. The other treasure boxes are more valuable and should be left closed.

The next puzzle is another vase puzzle. You’ll have to break the blue vases this time and leave the red vases alone.

The final puzzle is a series of mirrors that you can enter. You have to pick the correct mirror each time to advance. Enter the left mirror and then the center mirror. For the third part, investigate all three mirrors, but then turn around and enter a fourth mirror that will spawn behind you.

After this, you’ll get to invite Huohuo to your party, even if you don’t own her. You’ll fight a boss against a monster named Cirrus, who will spawn a number of enemies for you to defeat. This boss fight is very easy and does not have any tricky mechanics. The boss will not actually attack you. You’ll just have to defeat all the mobs that spawn to lower Cirrus’ HP. Whenever you kill a mob, Cirrus’ HP will deplete.

After that, you’ll have to talk to a few more characters, but the quest should be complete! This is quite a long quest but will open up a new and rewarding event for you to earn tons of Stellar Jades and other great rewards. Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.5 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
