How to complete the Kitakami Pokedex in Scarlet and Violet DLC

Completing a Pokedex is one of those legendary achievements that should be on every Trainers’ bucket list. Some Pokedexes are much harder to finish than others, but the Kitakami Dex is easier than most. Still, there are always a few entries you can’t get by catching wild Pokemon and leveling them up. This guide is all about those and demystifying those elusive Dex entries. Here’s how to complete the Kitakami Pokedex in the Scarlet and Violet DLC.

If you just need the complete Kitakami Pokedex, you can check that out here. In this guide, I’ll explain how to get every Pokemon you can’t find in the wild or get by leveling up. Everything else is catchable across Kitakami and evolves through leveling without items or special requirements, like Trading. For ease of use, these are in Kitakami Dex order, along with their Dex numbers.

#4 Yanmega
Yanma will evolve into Yanmega if it levels up while it knows Ancient Power. We have a complete guide on this one covering everything you need to know.

#15 Leavanny
Leavanny will evolve from Swadloon when it levels up with high friendship.

#22 Raichu
Pikachu evolves into Raichu when a Thunder Stone is used.

#32 Lurantis
Fomantis evolves into Lurantis at LV34 but will only happen during the daytime.

#34 Flapple
Applin evolves into Flapple when a Tart Apple is used.

#35 Appletun
Applin evolves into Appletun when a Sweet Apple is used

#36 Dipplin
Applin evolves into Dipplin when a Syrypy Apple is used. We have a full guide for this evolution if you need help.

#38 Ninetales
Vulpix evolves into Nintales when a Fire Stone is used. For the Alolan variant, you can use an Ice Stone instead.

#42 Politoed
Poliwhirl evolves into Politoed as part of a Trade Evolution while holding a King’s Rock.

#48 Ambipom
You can get Ambipom by leveling up Aipom while it knows the Double Hit move.

#52 Mamoswine
Piloswine evolves into Mamoswine if it levels up while knowing the Ancient Power move.

#56 Shiftry
Nuzleat evolves into Shiftry when a Leaf Stone is used.

#60 Gallade
Kirlia evolves into Gallade when a Dawn Stone is used. For this evolution to occur, the Kirlia must be male.

#64 Lucario
Riolu evolves into Lucario if it levels up with high friendship.

#67 Lilligant
Petilil evolves into Lilligant when a Sun Stone is used.

#69 Trevenant
Phantump evolves into Tevenant through Trade Evolution. No items are required.

#71 Lycanroc
There are three Lycanroc forms, each evolving from Rockruff at LV25. The time of day determines the form: Midday, Dusk, or Midnight. You only need one Lycanroc for the Dex entry.

#77 Sinistcha

#79 Arcanine
Growlith evolves into Arcanine when a Fire Stone is used.

#82 Golem
Graveler evolves into Golem as part of a Trade Evolution. This is the same for the Alolan variant.

#84 Sudowoodo
Bonsly evolves into Sudowoodo if it levels up while knowing the Mimic move.

#87 Conkeldurr
Gurdurr evolves into Conkeldurr when Traded.

#101 Annihilape
Primeape evolves into Annihilape after it’s used Rage Fist 20 times in battle. Rage Fist is a fantastic move for Annihilape and a staple in Raids, so it’s well worth keeping.

#106 Ludicolo
Lombre evolves into Ludicolo when a Water Stone is used.

#108 Probopass
Nosepass evolves into Probopass when a Thunder Stone is used.

#114 Vikavolt
Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt when a Thunder Stone is used.

#117 Alolan Sandslash
Regular Sandslash evolves from Sandshrew at LV22, but the Alolan variant requires an Ice Stone.

#120 Gengar
Haunter evolves into Gengar through Trade Evolution and has been this way ever since the original Red and Blue titles.

#122 Gliscor
Gligar evolves into Gliscor if it levels up during the night while holding a Razor Fang.

#128 Mandibuzz
Vullaby evolves into Mandibuzz through regular leveling but does so very late at LV54.

#141 Dusknoir
Dusclops evolves into Dusknoir through Trade Evolution while holding a Reaper Cloth.

#143 Chimecho
Chingling evolves into Chimecho if it levels up at night with High Friendship.

#148 Chandelure
Lampent evolves into Chandelure when a Dusk Stone is used.

#152 Clefairy
Cleffa evolves into Clefairy if it levels up with High Friendship

#153 Clefable
Clefairy evolves into Clefable when a Moon Stone is used.

#159 Milotic
We have a guide for this one, as finding Feebas and the required Evolution item is rather complicated. Feebas evolves into Milotic through Trade Evolution while holding a Prism Scale

#171 Weavile
Sneazle evolves into Weavile if it levels up during the night while holding a Razor Claw.

#174 Froslass
Snorunt evolves into Frosslass when a Dawn Stone is used, although the Snorunt must be female for this to work. Snorunt will become a Glalie at LV42 if a stone isn’t used.

#177 Eelektross
Eelektrik evolves into Eelektross when a Thunder Stone is used

#180 Goodra
Sliggoo evolves into Goodra at LV50, but only if it levels up during rain or fog.

#187 Bisharp
Bisharp evolves from Pawniard from regular leveling, but it’s very late at LV52.

#188 Kingambit
Bisharp evolves into Kingambit while holding the Leaders Crest Item. To trigger the evolution, Bisharp must defeat three other Bisharps in battle.

#195 Basculegion
Basculin evolves into Basculin by leveling up after it takes roughly 300 recoil damage without dying. This is a tough one, so we have a guide explaining everything from strategies to where to find a Basculin.

#196 Bloodmoon Ursaluna
You can’t find Bloodmoon Ursaluna in the wild. Instead, you must have 150 Pokemon registered in your Kitakami Pokedex. This will trigger a side quest with Perrin that will end with a showdown against Bloodmoon Ursaluna.

The Loyal Three and Ogerpon are all tied to the story, so you will get your chance to catch these as you naturally progress through the game.

Besides regular leveling and wild hunting, this is how to get every Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex. Some are harder than others, and a few require trading with a friend. Tera Raids are always worth a look, as some unusual Pokemon, like Milotic, can be obtained from them.
