As mentioned above, regular physical attacks do -1 damage making them almost entirely impervious to attacks. To damage them, you must use elemental weapons or arrows to put them into a weakened state. Once in this state, you can use regular physical attacks to defeat them.
For instance, you can defeat a Gibdos by following these steps:
- Equip the Topaz Sceptor
- You can make a Topaz Sceptor by fusing a Two-Handed Weapon with a Topaz, which you can obtain by killing Stone Talus Luminous or Stone Talus Rare enemies.
- Attack the Gibdos
- Swap to your Sword
- Defeat the Gibdos
You can use the above process for any elemental weapon, like an arrow fused with a White Chuchu Jelly, found in the Hebra Mountains or Gerudo Highlands, which will freeze the Gibdos, making them even easier to defeat.
