No Rest for the Wicked: How to farm XP and loot

While you can go to areas brimming with resources and collect them, they can take a while to respawn. Enemies also aren’t abundant unless you’re constantly switching regions or exploring new areas. You can easily farm XP and loot in No Rest for the Wicked by creating a new Realm.

Realms in NRFTW are ways for you to start a new game world but keep your same character. One Steam Community post explained how this farming method works so you can easily collect materials, loot, and EXP:

  • Create a new Realm from the main menu.
  • Start a new game in this farming Realm with your current character.
  • Farm loot/XP/materials.
  • Return to your main Realm to progress quests/city building.

Using this method, you can go back to the start of the game and farm for early-game resources while also tackling the early-game enemies. This is a good way to level up and acquire materials to create healing items if you’re stuck on a boss in your main Realm and have run out of healing items, amongst other good loot.

Waiting for resources to respawn in your normal Realm can take a while and isn’t fun to wait for if you’re eager to complete construction projects or tackle a tough quest. This method is more efficient and I’m surprised it’s even allowed.

The Realms system is confusing to understand at first, but all you need to know is that you can bring your main character through multiple Realms for farming. But what happens if you farmed too much and you need to get more storage?
