I get it. They’re cute. Or you maybe you just want to use them as a polymer storage. Either way here’s where to find them.
Where to find the Achatina in Ark Survival Ascended
The Achatina, like real-life snails, prefer damp and dark environments. So in a marsh or deep underground is where you’re likely to find these large mollusks sliding around.
On The Island, which is currently the only map in Ark Survival Ascended, you’ll find the Achatina along the marshy streams and swamps along the center strip of the map. You can also find them in the cave in the 70,30 square, and in the cave at the 50,80 square. The Achatinas in the Redwood forest and along the marchy streams are easier to come across, even if they are less common in those areas.

Below is a list of the spawn stats for the Achatina in Ark Survival Ascended.
- Health – 75
- Stamina – 100
- Oxygen – Infinite
- Food – 450
- Weight – 600
- Melee Damage – 0
- Movement Speed – 100%
- Torpidity – 50
If threatened, the Achatina will retreat into its shell, which is incredibly tough. You can break it, but only through repeated strikes. Once tamed, all stats aside from Torpidity will increase, making it a little stronger.
How to tame the Achatina in Ark Survival Ascended
If you want to tame this admittedly cute creature in Ark Survival Ascended, then you can. As is typical, you will need to perform the knock-out method to tame the Achatina.
It is pretty easy to knock the Achatina unconscious. Attack it with your wooden club or tranquilizer darts. Once unconscious, you’ll need to feed it.
To tame the Achatina, you’re going to need Sweet Vegetable Cakes. You may need quite a few of them, with weaker Achatinas requiring to be fed three before the tame meter maxes out. It doesn’t take long for the poor Achatinas to grow to love you.
