How to Flip the Right Switch in No Rest for the Wicked in Payday 3

Patience is key here.

Most of Payday 3 heists are a “figure it out on your own” playstyle. This can be a double-edged sword especially if you’re not working with friends. Even if you play safe and don’t cause too much disturbance, you could waste time searching for how to do certain objectives. That time could be spent doing the heist rather than figuring things out. For the first heist of Payday 3, No Rest for the Wicked, you’ll need to flip the right switch to open a security gate. Sounds easy enough right? Well, the issue is that there’s no real indicator of where it is and how to flip the switch. If you’re like me and are to the new series of Payday, understanding how objectives work will get you far in the game. This guide is a great way to start.

This objective is for the stealthier approach, so it might be hard at first. But, on the other hand, you’ll use less bullets. The switch opens up a gate near the back of the bank. To get it to open, you must open the breaker on the left side of it’s door. First off, look for a guard with a Red keycard. He’ll either be on the first or second floor.  Before going any further, cut the power. This can be done by heading back to the gate, looking at the breaker, and follow the red wire that will lead to a switch box.  This will power down the gate.

Note: Be sure to NOT be observed by anyone, or you’ll have to deal the with consequences before going further. Just wait till the coast is clear.

After you’ve got the keycard, you’ll need it to open a power room. This room will be either on the second floor or on the roof. No matter what, the process is the same. Once you get the open the power room, use the laptop to disable security. The laptop will also let you use the small screen on the generator in the room. This screen will also show you the color of the switch you need to flip. As you can see in the second image below, mine was blue. After you learn the color, head back to the first floor, open up the gate, and select the colored switch. From here, you can continue to the next section of the heist.
