Once you get yourself a bow in Tears of the Kingdom, and your new ability to fuse items with weapons, your first question is probably going to be how to use your bow and arrow to take advantage of this feature.

This is actually extremely easy to do. Once you have the ability to do this, all you need to do is aim your bow and arrow, and press up on the D-Pad. From here you’ll be given a selection of different materials you can use to attach to your arrows which have many different effects.

You’re going to need to do this every single time you want to fuse an arrow with items from your inventory, so this will become second nature before long.

Examples of different effects from items

Some of the earliest effects to get on the initial sky islands are quite simple. One of the first you’ll be using is a Fire Fruit to make Fire Arrows that you can use to combust things from a distance. Another one you will acquire pretty early is the ability to use Bomb Flowers to create Bomb Arrows, which really pack a punch.
