How to get all 3 endings in Armored Core 6

To be the savior or the apocalypse?

Despite being linear, and your character having literally no voice lines, Armored Core 6 has a real and rather good storyline. As you battle your way through the enemies, sometimes you will be faced with a choice in missions. You may have missed these, but if you look in the top right corner of mission screens, you may notice a small branch icon signaling a storyline choice will be included. Making your choices will result in one of three endings, two of which can be achieved on your first playthrough and the last one after your third playthrough of Armored Core 6.

All 3 endings in Armored Core 6

People are calling the Armored Core 6 endings either good or bad. The true ending deserves the name, but I am not going to use the first two terms. This isn’t because I got the bad ending on my first playthrough, I promise; it’s simply because I think they both have their merits.

In this ending, you decide that the best thing for humanity is to destroy Rubicon and therefore take Coral out of the picture. No more Coral, no more war. However, Ayre, the voice in your head, hates this idea, so you have to kick her ass about it.

It’s tough, as Ayre has been with you for so long and guides you through so many different missions. However, if this is the decision you decide is right, then this is the toll you must pay. Personally, I like this option. Sure, it kills a whole planet of souls, but in the end, it’s for the greater good. Isn’t it…?

These are the choices you must make in the missions to end up with this Armored Core 6 ending.

  • Chapter 3: Mission 21 – Eliminate the Enforcement Squads
  • Chapter 4: Mission 31 – Intercept the Redguns
  • Chapter 5: Mission 37 – Intercept the Corporate Forces

If you decide to side with Ayre and the Coral in Armored Core 6, you end up with the Liberator of Rubicon ending. This goes against the wishes of both Cinders and your handler, Walter. However, you save Rubicon, and the Coral and Ayre will talk about a new future with humanity. Walter and Cinders have a problem with this, so you need to kick their asses about it. To get this ending in Armored Core 6, you need to make these choices of missions.

  • Chapter 3: Mission 22 – Destroy the Special Forces Craft
  • Chapter 4: Mission 32 – Ambush the Vespers
  • Chapter 5: Mission 38 – Eliminate “Cinder” Carla

If you are playing New Game+ to get this ending, you will also need to choose these missions.

  • Chapter 1: Mission 6 – Attack the Dam Complex: Refuse
  • Chapter 3: Mission 19 – Prevent Corporate Salvage of the New Tech

This is the ending only available to the loyal few who choose to play the game through three times. You must have achieved both of the previous two Armored Core 6 endings. By this point, your reaction times will be so fast and attuned that you may as well be an Armored Core. Just plug your brain into your PC and get on with it.

This ending brings about the fusion of humanity and Coral. However, the ALLMIND has a few issues with this situation, so you have to kick its ass about it. Here are the choices necessary to end up with the final of the Armored Core 6 endings.

  • Chapter 1: Mission 6 – Attack the Dam Complex: Accept
  • Chapter 3: Mission 19 – Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech
  • Chapter 3: Mission 21 – Eliminate the Enforcement Squads
  • Chapter 4: Mission 26-B – Coral Export Denial
  • Chapter 4: Complete all Arena Fights after you’ve finished the Underground Exploration mission.
  • Chapter 4: Mission 33-B – Eliminate V.III
