There are a plethora of important crafting materials needed in Diablo 4. One such item is a Coiling Ward, which you’ll need if you want to imprint Aspects or upgrade Legendary Armor. This is a pretty rare item to find, as it has a pretty important purpose for high-leveled items. If you want to know how to get Coiling Wards in Diablo 4, keep on reading.

Diablo 4: Where to get Coiling Wards

If you’re trying to imprint Aspects onto items with an Item Power level over 400, the Occultist will require a Coiling Ward. Also, you can’t upgrade your Legendary Armor without it. So how do you get Coiling Wards in Diablo 4? Well, there is only one way to get this special item.

Sadly, you’ll have to say goodbye to some Legendary items to get any Coiling Wards. They’re attainable by Salvaging Legendary armor that have an Item Power level over 400. Don’t know what that is? If you’re looking at an item, under the title should read if it’s Legendary or not, and below that will tell you its power level. Legendary armor is hard to come by, which makes the chance of getting Coiling Wards even tougher.

How To Get Coiling Wards In Diablo 4 Legendary Armor

You don’t need to worry about Coiling Wards early on in the game. But at a certain point, you’re going to have to Salvage some Legendary items you’re not using. Also, Legendary weapons and jewelry don’t count. You can only Salvage armor with a Blacksmith to get any Coiling Wards. Coming across Legendary items can be tough, but the higher your World Tier is, the better your chances are at finding them.

These aren’t the only rare crafting materials needed. Veiled Crystals are also hard to come by, but attainable through Salvaging. Now you know how to get Coiling Wards, so good luck with Salvaging!
