In one of the many Cult Stashes in Watery, located on the map above, you’ll find the Crossbow. It’s in an area that clearly looks to be used as target practice, with numbers strung up and used as targets. How you can get the Crossbow in Alan Wake 2 is by counting the number of Crossbow Bolts and correlate them to the numbers they’re attached to.

Not sure what I mean? Well, if you look at all the numbered targets, you’ll soon realize that three numbers have bolts on them, one with one, another with two, and the last with three. It only took me a moment to put it together, but I soon realized that the three-digit lock code was written right under my nose.

The Crossbow lock combination is 527, as denoted by the Crossbow Bolts. There was one bolt on the number five, two on two, and three on seven. Now, just head back to the Cult Stash and apply the code. Voila, the container should open, and you now have Saga’s third weapon, going alongside her Pistol and Sawed-Off Shotgun!

The Crossbow can deal a one-shot blow, but only if you aim right at a Taken’s head. You can also only load one bolt at a time, and it takes awhile to reload. Luckily, you can upgrade it using Manuscript Fragments in Saga’s Mind Place anytime.
