How to get Doombringer sword in Diablo 4

Everything's better with a giant sword.

A main component of Diablo 4 is finding stronger and better gear, this can be done by doing almost everything in the game. But just like in older Diablo games, to get tougher loot, you must do more. So don’t expect much of a change in Diablo 4. A good example of this rule is in the Doombringer sword. You won’t find this weapon in any normal circumstances, however, when you do, you may not have an issue with harder difficulties. If you want to complete your build, consider using this ultra-rare weapon. This guide will show you how to get the Doombringer sword in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4: How to get the Doombringer sword

Earning the powerful Doombringer is just like finding the Darkblade. You have to be playing on a higher World Tier in order to have a chance of it popping up. If you’ve read any of my other guides on searching for stronger gear, you’ll notice a trend. That means you got to be playing on Nightmare or Torment, respectively World Tier 3 and 4.

Physically coming into contact with the Doombringer sword is a little time-consuming, and apparently one of the rarer weapons in Diablo 4. So the best course of action is to attempt a Helltide event. This event conveniently appears only on World Tier 3 and 4 and can be as long as one hour, or as short as 15 minutes. As you slay enemies, they’ll drop Aberrant Cinders, so collect as much as you can. If you collect around 175 of these cinders and deposit them, you’ll receive a Tortured Gift of Mystery which may have your sword in it. The good news is that there’s a really high chance of it showing up during this event. So whenever you see a Helltide event, it would be a great idea to attempt them.

Another way would be to attempt the Nightmare Dungeons. While the Helltide events are limited, these dungeons are more permanent. So even if it doesn’t drop in one Nightmare dungeon, look for another one and then rinse and repeat.
