Mutilator Plate is a Unique Chest Armor that has some intriguing affixes and a special effect only for Necromancers. Here’s how to get one.

Diablo 4: Where to get Mutilator Plate

All Unique items are available as super rare drops, more easily found in World Tier 4 by partaking in World Events or Nightmare Dungeons. But there’s a much easier way to farm for this Unique. You can get the Mutilator Plate in Diablo 4 by defeating the Uber boss The Beast in the Ice.

Since Season 2, Diablo 4 players can target farm for their favorite Uniques. The Beast in the Ice specifically has a chance of dropping Mutilator Plate, alongside other sought-after Uniques. But first, you need to summon him on World Tier 4 using Glacial Fissure Sigil materials, which we have a guide on how to acquire.

Essentially, you’ll need nine Distilled Fear and 250 Sigil Powder to create the Sigil to unlock the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Dungeon. Once you craft this through an Occultist, head to this dungeon in the Desolate Highlands region of the Fractured Peaks.

Use the required materials at the altar, and you will summon this beast. If you’re wondering what’s so special about the Mutilator Plate, players with Blood Lance Necromancer builds should continue reading. Here are the affixes and the effect:

  • Affixes:
    • [x] Willpower
    • [x] Maximum Life
    • [x]% Healing Received
    • [x]% Total Armor
  • Effect: You are Blood Lanced, and when Blood Lance would deal damage to you, it instead Fortifies you for [1-2]% of your Maximum Life and has a 5% chance to form a Blood Orb. Blood Lance deals [10-20]% increased damage.

Not only does Mutilator Plate help Fortify you, but it also increases your chance of forming an extra Blood Orb and increases your damage with Blood Lance by a good percentage. This is a great Unique for any Blood Lance Necromancer build.
