It’s easy to overlook the humble knife when browsing Cyberpunk 2077’s flashy arsenal of futuristic weaponry, but to do so would be to miss out on some of the most interesting combat builds the game has to offer. Knives let you embrace both stealth and speed, harnessing the powerful Dagger Dealer perk to strike enemies at range and up close alike. Among these stabby superstars, the Blue Fang is a clear standout, capable of dominating foes with its capacity for stunning and poisoning. If you’re wondering how to get the Blue Fang knife for yourself in Cyberpunk 2077, then read on to find out.
How to claim the Blue Fang knife in Cyberpunk 2077
Before we get started, it’s worth noting that the Blue Fang was added in patch 1.6 for the game, as part of the New Weapons: Melee DLC. If you don’t have this DLC installed, make sure you do so before reading further.
Unlike some of the game’s better weapons, the Blue Fang is actually surprisingly easy to obtain. Simply head down to the Jackson Plains section of the Badlands in the south-east section of the map, and pay a visit to the weapon vendor who resides in the area. You’ll find her sitting outside a caravan by a gorge if you haven’t already. Among her wide selection of wares, you’ll find the Blue Fang for sale for 27,554 Eurodollars. Pay up, and this iconic knife will be yours.
Once you have the Blue Fang, you’ll be able to try it out in combat and experience some of its unique elements. Every hit you land with it will stun the enemy: after three seconds for a standard hit, after one second for a headshot, and immediately if the enemy was hit outside of combat. Pair this up with a base 15% poison chance, and you’ll be able to cut through groups of foes with this knife as easily as carving a cake. Though, of course, actually carving a cake with this knife would be ill-advised indeed. Poison and whatnot.
And that’s all you need to know in order to get the Blue Fang knife in Cyberpunk 2077. If you want to try a knives-only build, or just experiment with the weapon type alongside your usual loadout, this is one of the very best options to go for, even with the new Phantom Liberty DLC factored in.
