How to get the Ghost Writer Title in Destiny 2: All Triumphs, explained

Here is how to unlock the Ghost Writer Title in Destiny 2.

Ghost Writer is a returning Title in Destiny 2 that comes around every year during Festival of the Lost. It resets every time the Halloween event starts, and you can gild the Title if you’ve gotten it before. Doing so changes the color and symbol to show other Guardians how into the annual Halloween even you are. Here is how to complete the Ghost Writer Title in Destiny 2.

All Ghost Writer Title Triumphs in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 and how to complete them

To earn the Ghost Writer Title in Destiny 2, you need to be active during Festival of the Lost 2023 and complete Triumphs. Once Festival of the Lost ends, your chance to earn the Ghost Writer Title will have to wait until next year.

The Ghost Writer Title has five Triumphs you need to complete before it can be acquired. Last year, there were 16 Triumphs you needed to complete to get the Ghost Writer Title, so this year is a lot more achievable. Here are the five Triumphs:

  • Ghost Writer – Complete all Event Challenges during Festival of the Lost.
  • One of Many – Defeat all the Headless Ones in a single run of Haunted Sector.
  • Masked Mayhem – While wearing the Masquerader’s Hood, complete dungeons, raids, Master or Grandmaster Nightfalls, or win rounds in the Trials of Osiris.
  • Deathless One – Complete Haunted Sectors without dying.
  • Sweet Tooth – Collect 30,000 Candy.

Best way to earn all Ghost Writer Triumphs in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023

Sweet Tooth isn’t too hard of a Triumph since you’ll be collecting lots of Candy while trying to complete the Event Challenges and other Triumphs.

One of Many and Deathless One are both easy — the normal Haunted Sectors aren’t difficult. It’s easy to not die and defeat every Headless One you summon. Do that on all four Haunted Sectors in rotation to check those off the list.

The hardest Triumphs you need to complete to get the Ghost Writer Title are Ghost Writer and Masked Mayhem. If you are a semi-casual player like me, you don’t have anyone to play dungeons, raids, challenging Nightfalls, or Trials of Osiris with.

Though you may ruin someone’s Flawless Trials of Osiris attempt, I recommend earning Masked Mayhem by winning Trials of Osiris. It’s a difficult PvP experience, but in my opinion, it’s the only doable activity in the bunch since it has matchmaking.

For the Ghost Writer Triumph, you need to complete all 17 Festival of the Lost 2023 Event Challenges which isn’t an easy feat. I recommend checking the Event Challenges often and doing activities that allow you to knock out two or three at once. For instance, you can play Crucible matches while wearing your Festival mask to make progress on the Occult Ritual and Masked Bandit Event Challenges.
