The Destiny 2: Lightfall expansion brought along a few new weapons. And the one that got everyone talking was the Perpetualis Auto Rifle. This great-looking gun has top-level reload speed, aim assistance, and handling, making it a must-have in Crucible matches. Thankfully, if you have progressed enough with the Lightfall campaign, it will be easy to get the Perpetualis Auto Rifle in Destiny 2.
How to get the Perpetualis Auto Rifle in Destiny 2

Once you have progressed far enough in the Lightfall campaign, a new mission will become available at the Helm location. The ‘Awake, Queensguard’ task will require you to play through a few levels and unlock more than just the Perpetualis Auto Rifle.
The mission will take you through the new War Table functions and introduce the Defiant Battlegrounds game mode. In these, you fight through waves of enemies to free captives. Partaking in these battles awards a number of bonuses such as Awoken Favors and War Table upgrades. There are a few ways you can get the Perpetualis Auto Rifle:
- Complete Awake, Queensguard – This will award you with a weapon, there is a high possibility it will be the Perpetualis.
- Construct it with a Defiant Engram – These are random drops in Defiant Battleground and can be used to craft seasonal gear at the War Table.
- Reach rank 10 at the War Table – Achieving bounties will progress your level and make more unlocks available. This is a slow but sure method to get the Perpetualis Auto Rifle in Destiny 2.

Things to note about the Defiant Battlegrounds
Every Defiant Battleground drops a key at the end. Use this key on the chest at the end of the next Defiant Battleground. The key will improve your chances of receiving a better weapon and a Defiant Engram. You’ll be spending these engrams to craft the great looking seasonal items.
