How to increase persona capacity in Persona 5 Tactica

Gotta fuse 'em all.

Persona 5 Tactica is a game with a multitude of systems at work, including the tried and tested titular persona system from the main games. However, there’s a new twist this time with sub-personas, allowing the entire party to have different personas aside from their base ones.

But you might need some more room to store all of your favorites, so here’s how to increase persona capacity in Persona 5 Tactica.

How do you increase persona capacity in Persona 5 Tactica?

Increasing persona capacity in Persona 5 Tactica is something I was wondering about for the entirety of the first portions of the game. I was always full with personas and had to spend plenty of time in the Velvet Room trying to make new sub-personas from the ones I had just to make room for the personas you receive as battle rewards. How you increase your persona capacity is by defeating the big boss of the kingdom. So, the first time you unlock a higher capacity for your persona storage is when you defeat Marie in the first kingdom.

This means you might have to go a while before upgrading your persona capacity in Persona 5 Tactica. But as long as you keep track of how many you have, and make sure to pop to the Velvet Room to get rid of the ones you’re not using, you should be okay until you unlock your first persona capacity upgrade.

What happens when I have too many personas?

Luckily, you won’t be getting any doubles when it comes to personas. The personas you receive from fights that you already have become EXP for you instead. When you have too many personas in your storage, you’ll be prompted at the end of a fight for which personas you want to get rid of to make room for them. You can actually just select the personas that you’re receiving if you don’t want them and they aren’t of any use to you. But I’ll always recommend that you keep every new persona in Persona 5 Tactica because you can summon them from the compendium whenever you want as long as you’ve registered them, which happens automatically most of the time.
