Your first answer may be to visit a Herbalist. In most towns in Sanctuary, you can find Herbalists who know how to upgrade the efficiency of your health potions. Each time your character reaches a certain level, you can upgrade your potions to give you more health per usage. But sadly, they can’t help you with your number of potions. How you increase your health potion capacity in Diablo 4 is through the Renown system.

You can earn Renown in Diablo 4 by exploring the many regions in Sanctuary. On the map screen, press ‘W’ to check for Renown rewards. Here, you can see that you can make progress exploring through regions, each having its own unlockable reward levels.

You’ll notice that on the second Renown level reward, worth 300 Renown points, your potion capacity increases by one. You can do this for each region, giving you a total of nine once you complete your Renown levels.

How do you earn Renown? Some of the best things to unlock to earn Renown are listed on the Renown screen. Finding things such as Statues of Lilith, Strongholds, Side Quests, and even Waypoints are helpful. You’ll probably notice that just by playing the game you accidentally unlock Renown rewards, but now you know it’s responsible for potion capacity.
