How to join the Skull and Bones closed beta

Try your chance at venturing into the Indian Ocean early.

Ubisoft’s new and upcoming self-proclaimed ultimate pirate fantasy game, Skull and Bones, is entering closed beta starting August 25th. This game promises to be one where you climb reputation from nobody to a famed pirate outlaw, catering to whatever customization and playstyle you prefer as you partake in naval combat. Most interestingly, it also promises a map range all around the Indian Ocean with diverse regions to deal with. In short, it’s most definitely a pirate game. So if pirate games are your forte and you can’t get enough of them, or you really enjoyed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, you can register for its closed beta right now. Here’s how to join the Skull and Bones closed beta and try it out for yourself.

In order to register for closed beta, navigate to the Skull and Bones closed beta registration page on Ubisoft.com. Select your desired platform to play the game- PC, Xbox, or PS5 — and click register. You’ll be prompted to create an account with Ubisoft if you haven’t already, or you can just log in with Facebook, Twitch, Xbox, or Playstation. One of these is not like the other, but fair enough.

Once you’ve logged in with your account, you’re successfully registered! Your email receives updates for Skull and Bones from now on. You have to wait and see if you get an email to be selected for the closed beta. So, unfortunately, there’s no guarantee of getting into closed beta. In the meantime, you can at least change your desired platform to play the game on if needed. We’ll simply have to wait and see what happens when closed beta drops, as the full game still lacks a concrete release date outside of something in 2023 or 2024.
