The Warden is one of the first roaming bosses you will come across in Witchfire, and if you’re not too smart, he will kill you. The spooky specter moves slowly around the map, looking to pick you out with his lantern. Beware, the Warden can do some serious damage to you if he catches up to you.
How to Kill the Warden in Witchfire
Obviously, you’re going to want to try your hand at killing the Warden in Witchfire. He seems so slow-moving and can be a real pain if you get caught by him in the middle of the fight. Also, loot is life, and he looks like he has pockets full of Witchfire.
Range is your friend

The Warden is one slow-moving boss in Witchfire, and this is where you can really take advantage. Get yourself a vantage point that it will take him a while to get to, equip a decent long-range weapon, and start picking off headshots.
I feel like they may end up patching and buffing the Warden in Witchfire. He needs to be slightly more powerful and attentive as the game moves from Early Access. However, right now, it is very possible to kite the Warden around the map and whittle his health down.
The important thing to do is ensure you don’t back yourself into a wall or bad guys. This will cause you a lot of problems when the Warden catches up to you, and you’ll be expected to pay for your crimes.
Stay mobile
If you’re not using a long-range weapon, then stay moving. The Warden is slow as all hell in Witchfire, so you can easily outpace him, even running backward. Keep picking off health and retreating, kiting him to places he will struggle to get his body to in Witchfire.
The Warden is a slow and clumsy boss, and you are a nimble and able-bodied Witch Hunter.
