Tears of the Kingdom – how to make a Vegetable Omelet

A basic omelet is tasty, but adding vegetables takes it to the next level.  This is true in life, and it’s true in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

To make a Vegetable Omelet, combine Bird Egg, Goat Butter, Rock Salt, and the desired vegetable. The result is a dish that restores health. If you leave out the veggies, you’ll produce the standard omelet. You can also make certain additions by including varieties of mushroom, flower, or honey, to produce a secondary effect such as stamina regeneration or a boost to elemental resistance.

A Bird Egg is the main ingredient you might have difficulty locating before you make a Vegetable Omelet. I like to look for these in especially large trees (the kind you can easily stand on, not the ones that fall after two or three blows from an ax). There is one such tree to the east of Dueling Peaks Stable in the West Necluda region, and I’ve had luck checking large trees near other stables. You can find a grove of trees east of the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, as well. The large one sometimes holds a couple of eggs. More eggs may also appear on cliffs at high elevation, when birds frequent a particular area.

Other ingredients are commonly available to find or purchase. You sometimes find Rock Salt when breaking apart mineral deposits in caves. Goat Butter is available to purchase from stores in Hateno Village and Rito Village. And you’ll find vegetables all over the place, if you don’t wish to purchase them from merchants.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for purchase on the Nintendo Store.
