Gathering materials feels like a real pain at the start of Palworld. However, as you progress and collect more Pals, this chore can be delegated. It is possible to Mine, Gather, and store Ore and other materials passively in Palworld.
Get yourself the Pals
To start mining and gathering ore passively in Palworld, you will first need to find some Pals capable of the task. Not all Pals can Mine Ore, so you’ll need to know where to look. The best locations to find minings Pals are in caves, unsurprisingly. These are three Pals I recommend for ease of capture and mine ability.
- Mommorest – Level 2 Mining. Found in the starting area.
- Reptyro – Level 3 Mining. Found in the volcanic area in the southwest of the map.
- Quivern – Level 2 Mining, Level 3 Transporting. Found in the Number 2 Wildlife Sanctuary, but worth the journey.
Along with some mining Pals, you will also need some with transporting capabilities. These will allow the mined ore to be tethered and stored in Palworld. Transport is a very common trait among Pals.
Pick the best ore mining location in Palworld
Having the workers is all well and good, but if you want to really get some ore mined in Palworld, you need to pick the right location. When you build your base for passive mining, it is good to place your Palbox by a lot of Ore nodes. We have a recommendation for the best location for mining in Palworld here.
Best base placement for Ore Mining in Palworld
We recommend putting your base just behind the snowy mountains, where you will find a huge collection of Ore nodes to Mine. Building here with a good collection of mining Pals will have them collecting tons of Ore without you having to break a sweat.
Once you’ve built your base by the ore, you can designate your mining and transporting Pals to collect it for you. Make sure you have plenty of storage around for it. At level 30, you will also unlock the Pickaxe and Helmet. At level 24, you also will unlock the Flowerbed. It’d be wise to build both of these as they massively improve your mining capabilities.
Once you have the infrastructure in place to mine and gather Ore passively, you can focus on the more important job of capturing all the Pals.
