While trying to find all the weapons, armaments, plate carriers, field upgrades, and other useful items in Open Combat Missions in MW3, you’ll discover stuck doors. You can’t barge through these doors the normal way, but there is a way to get them unstuck.
All stuck doors in Modern Warfare 3 Open Combat Missions are stuck because there is a chair on the other side. The only way to unstuck a door is to break the chair.
There are a lot of creative ways you need to do this. In one mission, I encountered a stuck door but couldn’t reach the other side. I found a window that allowed me a clear shot at the chair. In another mission, there was a window looking into the room with the chair, but the sight was blocked. I had to climb on the roof, shoot out the ceiling window, and eliminate the chair that way.
There’s always a way to open stuck doors in MW3, you just have to keep looking and get creative. I even tried to use C4 and other explosives to open stuck doors and it doesn’t work. Keep searching around the temporarily locked room and you’ll discover a way to unstuck the door.
The only way to open stuck doors is to get to the other side, or have a clear shot to the other side, and shoot the chair. If you only have loud weapons and you want to stay quiet, you can also interact to open the door and the chair will automatically break.
