The Vaults do house a lot of terrifying mechanisms in the form of Constructs, but also feature extremely dangerous traps that will take your life if you’re careful. However, you can always respawn and tackle the Vault once again. What the traps may take away, never to be seen again, are charges of Zoltun’s Warding.
You see, to open Wardwoven Chests in Diablo 4, you will need to avoid taking damage in the Vault so you can preserve a specific number of Warding charges, which then you can exchange to open a Wardwoven Chest, which houses bigger and more valuable rewards for you.
Obtaining Pearls of Warding
To get these Zoltun’s Warding charges you will need to exchange Pearls of Warding. Each of these Pearls will grant you three Warding charges, and you will need to do this trade right at the entrance of each Vault. You need to visit the Arcane Tremors event zones, take part in it, and then defeat the Heralds of Malphas to obtain the Pearls. This demon will drop Governing Stones, Tuning Stones, and lastly, Pearls of Warding. Keep yourself close to the brazier and you will be able to defeat several Heralds one after the other. Think of it as a great farming technique.
Be sure to time your movement and don’t get hit by any trap you will find in the Vaults. Dodging will become a great friend that will save you from certain death, but don’t keep your guard down from other Constructs wandering the area.
