Best way to fight in LEGO Fortnite

When I first got into LEGO Fortnite, I immediately started foraging everything around me (as one does). The game automatically starts filling your quickbar with the items in your inventory, which means I soon could only cycle through berries, milk, eggs, vines, and corn. Sadly, none of those help me fight.

To punch in LEGO Fortnite, you need to have one slot on your quickbar empty. This is the only way to have your hands equipped. Use L1 and R1, RB and LB, or scroll with the mouse to highlight the empty slot on your quickbar, and then you can use your attack button to throw hands.

While punching enemies will get you through in the beginning, you’ll want to equip yourself with a weapon fairly quickly. Build a crafting table and craft a Forest Axe. That’s the best early melee weapon you can get. You can use a Pickaxe to fight people, but it’s not as strong or effective.

After building the Lumber Mill, you’ll unlock the ability to craft a Shortsword, which is slightly better than the Forest Axe, but it is better. As you continue to upgrade your stations and craft more resources, you’ll automatically unlock more building recipes to get better and better weapons.

When you do have a weapon, make sure it’s in your quickbar. If it isn’t, you won’t be able to fight. So, if you want to punch enemies, make sure you have an empty slot in your quickbar. If you want to fight enemies with a melee or ranged weapon, make sure that weapon is in your quickbar. And that’s all there is to fighting in LEGO Fortnite.
