Halls of Torment – how to survive 20 minutes without regenerating health

The Fragile Stamina quest rewards players with the Pacesetters item. You must survive 20 minutes without regenerating health, although you can collect items such as potions that refill lost life. The quest indicates you can clear it with any character, which is technically true but also difficult. To survive 20 minutes without regenerating health, your best bet is to choose the Sorceress or the Warlock.

Most characters automatically recover health after taking damage. The regeneration rate may be fairly poor, but that doesn’t matter. Letting even 1HP regenerate in that way causes you to fail the quest. This means you either need to survive the full 20 minutes without taking any damage at all (tricky in even the easiest of dungeons) or you need to choose your character carefully.

By default, the Sorceress and Warlock do not automatically regenerate health after enemies wound them. However, also make sure you don’t have any of the Health Regeneration blessing in effect. If you do, refund it until you clear the quest. Then make sure to purchase it again.

As you clear a dungeon, consider traits carefully. Steer clear of any traits that add regeneration. You need to pay close attention. It should be easily to choose one of four options that don’t include health regeneration. You can also drink a potion to select a different four traits to upgrade. See our guide telling you how to get all the potions if you need assistance unlocking those options.

Halls of Torment is available to purchase on Steam.
