How to unlock all Barter Vest Recipies in Warzone 2 DMZ

You won't be unkillable, but it's a start.

In DMZ, your Armor Vest is so important it’s arguably more valuable than the weapon you’re carrying. You can make bad guns work with superior movement and aim, but the plates in your Vest are what will keep you alive. The standard single-plate Vest simply won’t cut it in Season 4, so let me show you how to unlock all Barter Vest Recipes in Warzone 2 DMZ.

The menu for the Barter Recipies is a little tricky to find as it’s tucked away in the ‘Mission Objectives’ menu. Select ‘Mission Objectives,’ then ‘Upgrades,’ and finally ‘Bounty Board.’ This menu shows you Barter Trades for everything from Armor to Backpacks, but they are all locked until their requirements have been fulfilled.

There are Four Vests to unlock for Barter Trading. Here are the requirements and the items you’ll need to perform the barter.

3-Plate Comms Vest

To unlock the Comms Plate Vest, you need to kill the Wheelson. You can find this mini armored vehicle in the Building 21 map. Once unlocked, you can barter for the 3-Plate Comms Vest at a Buy Station for:

  • x2 Battery
  • x1 Encrypted Hard Drive
  • x1 Soothing Hand Cream

3-Plate Medic Vest

For the 3-Plate Medic Vest, you need to defeat ‘The Pyro.’ He’s a boss unit that spawns on Al Mazrah. The Pyro is a pain because he appears in random Strongholds across the map, so be patient with this one. Once unlocked, you can barter for the Medic Vest at a Buy Station with the following items:

  • x3 Bandage
  • x1 Liquor
  • x1 Watch

Stealth Plate Carrier

The Stealth Plate Carrier is unlocked by defeating ‘The Sniper.’ You can find this boss in the underground Koschei Complex in Al Mazrah. This Vest is excellent as it makes you immune to UAVs. Once you’ve defeated ‘The Sniper,’ you can barter for the Vest with the following items:

  • x1 Comic Book
  • x1 Game Console
  • x2 Electrical Component

Tempered Plate Carrier

For the Tempered Vest, you need to kill the Armored Commander. He’s the boss that flies the helicopter on Ashika Island. Knocking out helicopters with traditional weapons is a hassle, so I recommend securing a SAM Site.

The Tempered Vest acts similarly to the Tempered Perk in that you only need 2 Plates to fill it. Those Plates give the same level of protection as you would receive from any 3 Plate armor.

Once unlocked, you can Barter Trade for the Tempered Vest with the following:

  • x1 Classified Document
  • x1 Sensitive Document
  • x2 Documents

I fulfilled all the requirements, but my Vest is still locked. Any tips?

Many players know how to unlock all Barter Vest Recipies in Warzone 2 DMZ, but unfortunately, some are reporting that these unlocks are bugged and not working even after multiple attempts. Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future patch. Until then, you can reliably earn decent Armor Vests by defeating the Chemist on Al Mazrah. Although the radiation is annoying, you can always track him down, thanks to the marker on the map. Now you’ve got your Armor situation taken care of; you can work on earning another Insured Slot for your weapons. If you’re struggling with it, check out our guide.
