How to unlock Dead Wire Detonators, Golden Mask Filter, and Sergeant’s Beret Schematics in Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ)

Three new toys to play with.

Modern Warfare Zombies Season 3 Reloaded brings three new Schematics: Dead Wire Detonators, Golden Mask Filter, and Sergeant’s Beret. In this guide, I’ll walk you through what all these new Schematics do and how to permanently unlock them.

You’ll see me say this a lot in this guide, but the way to unlock Dead Wire Detonators is to finish the Union mission, get all four easter eggs, upgrade them to gold, and use them at the Dark Aether Rift on the west side of Old Town right next to the Union extraction. This is the same process to get the Countermeasures Dark Aether Zone and Schematics.

Once inside the Union Dark Aether Zone, complete contracts (which aren’t on the map but are blue bunnies found scattered around). The Rift Rewards are your ticket to getting the Schematics, including Dead Wire Detonators.

Dead Wire Detonators adds the Dead Wire Ammo Mod to your explosives, including Lethals and Launchers. It’s not the best Schematic — I prefer the Blood Burner Key Schematic — but it’s fairly fun.

To get the Golden Mask Filter Schematic in Modern Warfare Zombies, you need to get lucky with Rift Rewards in the Union Dark Aether Zone. It’s the same method I outlined in the Dead Wire Detonators section.

The Golden Mask Filter allows you to keep one gas mask that can be auto-refilled. It can still break, which I find to be quite lame, but at least it’ll self-regenerate over time out of gas.

Lastly — you guessed it — you unlock the Sergeant’s Beret Schematic by getting good RNG with Rift Rewards in the Union Dark Aether Zone.

The coolest Schematic in this bunch in my opinion is Sergeant’s Beret. With Sergeant’s Beret equipped, enemy soldiers won’t shoot you. You’ll also get an ally soldier who’ll follow you around and fight with you. It’s not better than the Golden Armor Plate Schematic, but it’s still cool.
