How to unlock the JAK BFB attachment in Modern Warfare 3

Going loud has never been this fun

The JAK labeled Aftermarket Parts is a game changer. For one, they can make your weapon have flamethrowing capabilities. It’s a great time. However, for every season of Modern Warfare 3, Activision seems to be adding more JAK parts. For the first season of the game, you can get a new muzzle called the BFB. To learn how to unlock the JAK BFB muzzle attachment in Modern Warfare 3, follow along.

So getting the JAK muzzle is easy, I just wish MW3 explained it better. The first and only thing you must do is unlock Sector 21 in the Season 1 Battle Pass. To unlock the sector, kill 10 operators or special zombies with an SMG and only use hip fire. Meaning, you must not use ADS (aim down sights). It should be noted that some players have reported that the game tells them a general pre-requisite such as getting 10 zombie kills. This won’t count since they need to be special ones. So if you’re game is telling you that and you’re reading this guide, ignore it and just follow the aforementioned challenges.

If you still haven’t unlocked it, you may be looking at a different BFB attachment that has a different challenge. Double-check it’s the right one before investing time to complete it.

How does the JAK BFB change the gun?

In close and medium combat, this muzzle is an absolute nightmare — for the enemy. This can be attributed to the recoil reduction you get both for vertical and horizontal recoil. I would recommend using this muzzle on SMGS or assault rifles since they can benefit from the BFB’s perks.

However, while it can make you a deadly asset on the field, it might also make you a liability for your team. You have noticeable cons when running with the attachment. Your ADS speed and sprint-to-fire speed all take a hit. Probably the most annoying part is that you have increased radar detection when using the muzzle. This means, that when you fire, your red dot will appear much longer than normal making you easier to hit.

Ultimately, if you play more aggressively and don’t mind having a big “I am here” sign on you all the time, the JAK BFB could make you something of an ideal soldier.
