Is Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake being developed by Hideo Kojima? Platforms, release date, pronunciation, and more

Who is developing Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater?

The Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater has been announced, but it wasn’t released with a studio. My first question was if Hideo Kojima is developing Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. If you’re wondering the same question, you’ve come to the right place.

Will the Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remake be developed by Hideo Kojima?

Because the showcase didn’t mention a studio or developer, we aren’t sure who is developing the Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake. It very well could be Hideo Kojima, but it could also be a different studio. Hideo Kojima does have his hands full with Death Stranding 2, so the odds are that this Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater remake won’t be developed by Hideo Kojima.

However, after the PlayStation Showcase, Konami released the trailer for “METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.” They are calling it a “faithful remake” of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Hideo Kojima is no longer at Konami, but Konami was the original studio behind the Metal Gear Solid games. That said, we can expect Hideo Kojima to not be working on these games. But fear not, Konami knows better than to mess up a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake.

What is the official name of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake?

The official pronunciation for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. The Δ sign is delta, which would mean this remake is called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. However, multiple people online are calling it Metal Gear Solid Triangle: Snake Eater, which also works. The safest way to pronounce this new game is the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake as everyone knows what that is now.

What platforms will Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater be on?

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. But when will the game be out?

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater release date, explained

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a release date for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater during the PlayStation Showcase. We don’t know when to expect the remake, but we know that the original Metal Gear Solid trilogy will be available on PlayStation 5 this fall. It will likely be available through PS Plus, but stay tuned for more.
