Modern Warfare 3 is out and players are digging into the campaign on their fancy modern video game consoles. But that raises a question: will players using previous-generation consoles be able to play Modern Warfare 3 on PS4 and Xbox One?

However, for the time being, we can confirm that yes, Modern Warfare 3 will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, In fact, it’ll be payable on the following platforms:

- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
Call of Duty recently made the transition over to Steam alongside Battle.net so players can purchase the game on either platform, and yes, it will automatically sync your Call of Duty account.
However, launching Modern Warfare 3 can still be a little bit of a hassle with how CoD loads into their new Call of Duty HQ, then will load into Modern Warfare 3 separately.
