Sadly, STALKER 2 has been delayed once again. The embattled Ukrainian developer behind the long-in-the-works title has had to deal with cyberattacks and a real-life war. But, of course, regardless of the release date, prospective players may want to know when or even if STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will eventually be available on Game Pass.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl: Available on Game Pass?
It’s been almost 14 years since STALKER 2 was announced for an initial 2012 release date. After many events both in development and real-life conflicts, the game appears to be finally releasing on September 5, 2024. GSC Game World announced through a small teaser and, to the surprise of many, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on Xbox Game Pass. It will come to Xbox and PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games store as well.
This announcement traces back to 2020, but after the many world events that transpired across the past multiple years, the studio had to pause development due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The game has since resumed development, while also enduring cyberattacks and a relocation to Prague, Czech Republic. However, despite everything that has happened, GSC has thrived and has unveiled a game that not only looks extremely polished but much better than what we saw back at the Microsoft/Bethesda showcase back in E3 2021.

To be quite honest with you, hearing that a studio takes the time it needs to provide us with a game that will show us quality and care is a breath of fresh air after so many games in recent years released too broken to play. Hopefully, we all get to enjoy the next STALKER game later this year, especially if you have a Game Pass subscription.
