Grinding hours to finally unlock that one attachment you needed to complete your build feels great. What doesn’t feel great is spending all that time and even money to unlock something, only for it to not actually work.

Is the XRK Sniper Rifle No Stock attachment bugged in MW3?
Modern Warfare 3 has already been through its fair share of bugs and glitches. However, it seems there is a new sniper rifle that is causing some trouble. And while the overall performance of the sniper is in contention, those who are unlocking the attachments came to a roadblock. As of writing this article, the No Stock attachment cannot be unlocked due to a game-wide bug.

It was reported on the official MW3 issues Trello board that the XRK No Stock attachment wasn’t unlocking. Sadly, there is nothing that we can do until the developers release a fix for the problem. Once unlocking the weapon, you can view the weapon progression, and here is where things get weird. Even though there is a No Stock attachment in the customization screen, there is no rank where you unlock said attachment. Unlocked in section A4 of the MW3 Season 1 battle pass, the XRK Stalker was previously released in the Blackcell bundle on the game’s release.
What’s more, the No Stock attachment provides a bonus in almost every speed stat category, while losing hip-fire spread and more. I would assume if you’ve already reached the requirements for unlocking No Stock, it will automatically unlock once there is a fix. But for now, keep an eye on the MW3 Trello board, and hopefully, we’ll see a solution to this problem sooner rather than later.
