How to defeat Brutes with Boom Barrels in LEGO Fortnite
Personally, I’ve always struggled to find and defeat Brutes in LEGO Fortnite, whether it’s in the Grasslands, Desert, or Frostlands. Nathanwilson1 on Reddit has shown that Brutes can be taken down with ease if you use multiple Boom Barrels. His method is a prime example of thinking smarter, not harder.

As you can see, nathanwilson1 has around 50 Boom Barrels, or TNT, in this video. He places them on a block above a ledge that’s connected by another smaller block. After all the Boom Barrels are placed and the Brute is in position below, he broke the block holding the platform and all 50 Boom Barrels went plummeting toward the Brute.
Easiest strategy to defeat Brutes in LEGO Fortnite
In all honestly, it looks like around three or four Boom Barrels actually hit the Brute, which is even better news for us. This means that you can easily defeat a Brute very quickly with around five Boom Barrels.
My advice is to lay five Boom Barrels around a battlefield and lure the Brute into each one throughout the fight. If you do that method, you don’t need the setup but you’ll get the same quick, easy, and cheap results.
Boom Barrels cost six Planks and three Blast Powder. Both of those resources aren’t especially hard to get in LEGO Fortnite — at least getting 30 Planks and 15 Blast Powder shouldn’t be too difficult. Another alternative is to use Dynamite, which is easier to use than Boom Barrels but doesn’t deal as much damage.
