Frame Break, the developers of Lightyear Frontier, has provided a living content roadmap for their game that includes two mini updates and two mega updates. No dates are shared quite yet as to when we can expect these updates to roll out. However, considering they’ve stated on Steam that they aim to have Lightfall Frontier in Early Access for six months to a year, we can confidently guess that, if all goes well, mini updates one and two and mega updates one and two will roll out between now and March 2025.

The first mini-update will focus on quality-of-life updates and accessibility improvements. There will also be an emphasis on bug fixes. Don’t look to mini-update one as a time for more content — you’ll still need to be working away at finding all the Pine Heights Slime during this time.

The first mega update comes after the first mini update. This focuses on adding more gameplay features to the base game. Two examples of this are a Neighbor Friendship System and the ability to keep animals on your farm at your base.

After the mega-update one, we have another interesting mini-update. Mini update two focuses on adding community-requested features. Whether you’re a part of the community on Discord or Reddit, the developers are listening to your feedback and will work to add it to the game during mini-update two. Hopefully, they introduce a better way to demolish buildings.

The last update listed on the living roadmap for now is mega update two. This update focuses on expanding the world and the story. There will be more areas to explore, more crops, animals, and upgrades to enjoy, and more story to progress through.
