Magicka sells 1.3 million in year one, new spell to celebrate

Paradox Interactive has announced that Arrowhead Game Studios’ Magicka has sold 1.3 million copies in its first year. That number applies only to the “core” game, not the various expansions that have come since release.
Further, the Magicka: Vietnam expansion has shifted just over 500,000 copies – while all of the games various DLC option combine to over 4 million downloads.
As a way of celebrating, Arrowhead are providing a new Magick for free – the ‘Confuse’ spell.
The next ‘proper’ DLC for Magicka, dubbed ‘The Other Side of the Coin’, is due out this spring.
