Microsoft is courting iOS and Android apps to Windows 10, but not like how they tried to do it before. They are providing devs the tools to do the ports themselves.
This means Java and C++ for Android and Objective C for iOS. They will also be sharing replacement APIs that match the ones devs used on those platforms.
Microsoft Fellow Terry Myerson explained their mindset this way:
We want to enable developers to leverage their current code and current skills to start building those Windows applications in the Store.
