NBA MVP Kevin Durant Named NBA 2K15 Cover Athlete

On the same day Kevin Durant wins his first NBA league Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant has been named the cover athlete for the next iteration of the NBA 2K sim basketball series. “It’s something that I’ve been longing for for a while,” Durant said on the conference call announcing his cover appearance, “and I’m just grateful for the opportunity.”

“I begged them to put me on the cover,” Durant said when asked what 2K had to do to get him to agree to be on the cover. “I really think nobody plays the game as much as I do. I wanted to be a part of it.” Durant has been on the Cover of NBA 2K13 along with Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose and on the cover of EA’s NCAA March Madness 08 and the never released NBA Elite from EA. NBA 2K15 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 7. Source Gameinformer
