Nvidia launches RTX 3090 Ti specs release date price gaming performance

Nvidia’s RTX 3090 Ti seems to have been delayed

Delays, delays, and more delays.

Nvidia announced its newest premium graphics card in the form of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti earlier this month at CES 2022. The company promised it would be a really beefy card in its own right, packed with hardware capable of delivering unrivaled gaming performance. But now, it seems that the release of the upcoming Nvidia flagship RTX 3090 Ti graphics card may have been delayed due to technical issues.

Sources have informed TweakTown that there has been a delay to the RTX 3090 Ti’s release. Before this, the card was planned to release sometime in January. Now it seems that Nvidia could have a February release planned for RTX 3090 Ti instead. We’re still awaiting confirmation on this from Nvidia, so this information should be taken as a rumor until proven otherwise.

An unfortunate, but temporary delay for Nvidia

The delay doesn’t seem to be a massive one. In fact, if the date has indeed been pushed back to February, then it’s only a matter of several more weeks until launch. The exact timeframe that we’re looking at is still unclear though. The concept of another delay isn’t shocking considering the state of graphics card manufacturing at the moment. With the numerous issues surrounding chip shortages, shipping issues, and the rising costs of parts, even Nvidia doesn’t seem immune to setbacks.

Even when the new graphics card does materialize and a final date is announced, getting your hands on one could be rather difficult. Nevermind the flood of scalpers that will circle over the graphics card in full force. The price itself may be out of the range of most peoples’ pockets too. Listings were spotted last week by VideoCardz that seemed to reveal the pricing of MSI’s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X, which was temporarily listed for €3,201 EUR. This converts roughly to $3,654 USD, and you don’t need us to tell you that’s a lot of money. It’s doubtful it will end up being the final price, but it’s an interesting ballpark nonetheless. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see prices reach some crazy places. Especially after Nvidia’s RTX 3080 12GB card has a pretty hefty price tag too.

The pricing and release date of Nvidia’s RTX 3090 Ti is unknown for now. We should know more about the state of the release in February. Hopefully, the card will materialize around then as well. It’ll also be interesting to see where the “official” price point lands. If a Founders Edition for the graphics card is released by Nvidia, it may ease up the price for those that are lucky enough to find one, but availability of that model remains the real question.
