In Octopath Traveler 2, players can complete a variety of side stories. Those looking to make the most out of the game and see as much of its world as possible will want to complete all of them. This is our guide on how to complete the ‘Tourney Champion’ side story in Octopath Traveler 2.

How to complete Tourney Champion in Octopath Traveler 2
You can begin Tourney Champion by speaking to the Worried Woman in Montwise. She will only appear if Chapter Two of Hikari’s story is finished. Speaking to her will reveal that someone close to her has entered the Underground Arena and she is worried he’ll be killed.
Go to the Underground Arena down the stairs on her right. A Fainthearted Youth will be standing next to the fence on the right side of the arena’s starting area. Switch to daytime and defeat him with Hikari’s Challenge Path Action. He is very weak and will likely lose in one hit. After beating him, a man will come over and demand that you fill in for the Fainthearted Youth.

Inside the arena, you will face Yurinas, the reigning champion of the arena. Yurinas has 30,000 HP and is weak to Sword, Dagger, Axe, Ice, and Wind. Depending on your level, this can be a tough fight, but you don’t need to win to complete Tourney Champion in Octopath Traveler 2. Even if you lose, the side story will still be complete.
Once the fight ends, Yurinas will reveal herself as the very same Worried Woman who sent you to the arena. She didn’t want to face and hurt someone she loved so she thanks you for filling in. Completing Tourney Champion in Octopath Traveler 2 rewards 2,000 Leaves and x1 Reinforcing Jam. If you won against Yurinas, you’ll also receive x1 Champion’s Belt. However, don’t fret if you lost, as Yurinas can be rechallenged and farmed for the Champion’s Belt at any time.
