ooblets epic games store early access trailer

Ooblets gets a new trailer, and is coming to early access this summer

Dance the night away.

Announced during the PC Gaming Show, Ooblets got a colorful new trailer, and a bit more. The game will be available for early access on the Epic Games Store as early as this summer. Wait, isn’t it summer now? It’ll be playable very soon, if that’s the case.

Ooblets is an awfully damn cute game, complete with little Pokecreatures and town life — but with dance-off parties. And a walking fish that acts like a cat, knocking breakable items off counters. But when you’re not cleaning up after fish-cats, you’re furnishing your room, fishing, or gardening.

The game allows you to explore the town, taking in all the sights. However, after viewing the trailer, the number one activity in town is dancing. Everyone is cutting a rug in this trailer, all the time. I would hate to live here. The last time I danced was in middle school.

Gotta dance with ’em all

Ooblets‘ big draw (other than dancing) is collecting little friends. These creatures, naturally called ooblets, can be gathered and befriended. They come in all shapes and sizes, and the trailer shows off quite a few different varieties. There’s even one with long legs and is wearing a top hat. How quaint! You can start off by visiting an ooblet club, where you can get your very first baby ooblet. As you level them up you (checks notes) can unlock new dance moves. Of course you can.

Indeed, dancing. Once you level up your ooblets with enough jigs, you can compete in dancing tournaments for more ooblet seeds. There are also daily challenges with badges on the line. You can also “help the Mayor save the town from questionable forces.” Wait, what?

Ooblets can be played in Early Access soon. Keep watching the Epic Games Store to know when you can dance, dance, dance the night away.
