Outriders‘ Utargak chapter – The first encounter with Yagak
You’ll do battle with Yagak in Outriders‘ Utargak chapter after rescuing your friends. Sadly, one of your companions meets an untimely demise, and this boss fight will be your vengeance.
Yagak’s abilities
- Chain Combo – Yagak moves fast, and he’ll often slice and dice around the battlefield until he reaches you.
- Lightning Strikes – Several red circles will appear on the ground. Yagak will then call lightning down from the sky.
- Overload – Yagak will be surrounded by a blue shield, mitigating all damage for a few seconds. He’ll then unleash electricity on those nearby.
This fight is mostly just about avoiding Yagak’s attacks. He does multiple hits with his melee swipes, so you better back away. Meanwhile, his Lightning Strikes can be easily telegraphed. As for Overload, it’s also when he’ll summon a few berserker mobs. You can kill them if you need health.
Overall, this encounter won’t be too tough (assuming you just stayed at World Tier 5) since it only has one phase. Once you defeat Yagak, there will be a cutscene where he’ll run off. You can open the chest to pick up your loot. The rewards will scale depending on your character’s level and World Tier when the Yagak boss fight was initiated, so don’t expect high-level rewards if you fought Yagak at World Tier 5 and you cranked it up to World Tier 15 once he’s down to a sliver of health.
