“The worldwide response to Paladins has been incredible,” said Todd Harris, Chief Operating Officer of HI-Rez Studios. “It has been thrilling to see the game grow week-over-week since the Steam Open Beta began in mid-September, as well as to hear all of the player feedback, which we are constantly using to improve the game.”

Hi-Rez are looking to capitalise on the game’s popularity and start pushing the game as an eSport which is why they announced the Paladins Evie’s Winter Classic. This is a tournament is open to all players in North America, Europe, and now Oceania, Latin America, Brazil, and Russia. There’s 10K up for grabs in each region and concludes on 18 December.

Paladins is shaping up to be a solid shooter and being free to play is a massive plus for the studio. There is still work to be done and more characters to be added but it’s off to a good start.
