Path of Exile Forsaken Masters has been live for a few days and it’s attracting loads of players.

There’s been a rush back to Path of Exile this week following the launch of the latest mini-expansion. Grinding Gear Games CEO Chris Wilson confirmed they broke “another international player concurrency record” yesterday.

With an influx of players, there has been some stability issues in North America, Canada, and on their Australian gateway. They do have a team working on getting these issues resolved as soon as possible so if you’re experiencing problems you’ll have to wait and see if it settles. Whether this is related to the DDoS attacks other online games have been suffering is unknown.

Now the expansion has launched the development team has been checking over feedback concerning balancing issues.

We’ve been receiving a lot of feedback about the Forsaken Masters expansion. The vast majority is extremely positive, but some players have expressed concern with the balance of some of the bosses in the Beyond league. We are reading the feedback, continuing to playtest, looking at player data and making more changes. I expect the next set of changes will be deployed on Monday or Tuesday. The leagues are an evolving thing, and we’re keen to hit the sweet spot of challenge, reward and fun.

Chris also says that “very cool additions” will be coming to the game in the next few weeks but we’ll have to wait to find out what these are.
