Payday 2 VR revealed for release this year

Payday 2 VR revealed for release this year

Starbreeze has announced via a livestream that VR support is coming for their heist-em-up Payday 2. The VR version will take the core game and include all the content from the Payday 2 series.

Anyone who has sunk hours into the game can still use their characters in the VR version and VR players will be able to play alongside PC players. There’s also good news for anyone who already owns Payday 2 and a Vive, the VR version is completely free.

So far they have only announced compatibility for the Vive and they were keen to point out that VR players should not be at a disadvantage. This trailer shows it in action.

The VR compatibility will be released this year although no exact date has been revealed. They have been working on it for a long time so it might not be too long until it surfaces.
