Prince Of Persia Franchise Not Confused

Prince of Persia (PoP) animation director, Jan-Erik Sjovall, has told IncGamers that the franchise isn’t confused despite returning to the Sands of Time universe.Sjovall said the team were “using the franchise to go back, but this is completely different to PoP 2008.”When asked if the PoP fan could be confused by this constant to-ing and fro-ing from one prince to another, Sjovall said that the universe was that similar to that of 1001 Arabian nights, in which many stories are told within one story.”The idea is like the 1001 Arabian Nights. It doesn’t all talk about Aladdin, it’s different stories but all in the same universe. This is the approach we have for PoP.”Sjovall was quick to add that it may not be the last we see of PoP 2008 either.”It doesn’t mean that we’re back to the Sands of Time and PoP 2008 has dissolved. Each game stands on it’s own.”Where PoP 2008 is going, we’ll have to wait and see whether anything happens.”We’ll have more news from the latest title, as well as a hands-on preview later this week, so make sure you keep tuned.
