Sliding Before You Glide in Palworld Makes it Far More Effective

Slidin' and glidin'

When I first started using Gliders in Palworld, I was a little disappointed. I knew there were better gliders and that the one I had certainly was an improvement over walking, but I couldn’t help but feel like I wanted it to be better. Well, someone has found a way to make them so much better than I could ever have hoped.

Sliding before gliding in Palworld is a great way to get around

Reddit user HollowLoch shared a technique he discovered on the Palworld Subreddit. For many, this not only highlighted a great way to get around but also highlighted that you can slide in the game.

To slide in Palworld, you’ll need to hold the Crouch button when sprinting. Sliding only really works best when going downhill. Trying to slide on a flat or raised surface will result in limited speed and distance. You can rack up huge speeds when sliding down hills.

When you glide, your current momentum is taken into account to calculate your speed. If you slide downhill before jumping into a glide, you’ll go incredibly fast, and the better quality glider or Pal you have the faster you’ll go.

Build launch ramps to upgrade your transportation

If you don’t have any Pals that you can fly, then it may be worth building small launch stations to make the most of this trick.

Using Wood, Stone, or whatever you have to hand, you can build a Foundation and a Slanted Roof to create a downward ramp for you to slide down at great speed. The Slanted Roof is so steep that you’ll be racing through the sky as soon as you launch.

You can build walls before the Slanted Roof to add height to the launch station if you wish, although for best results, build one by a cliff.

If the Slanted Roof doesn’t provide enough runway for you, then you build another attached to it, effectively making a slope.

You can build these outside of the bounds of a base, allowing you to quickly and cheaply build launch stations, allowing you to travel great distances at a great speed for few resources.

Now that you’ve learned this awesome trick in Palworld, why don’t you check out how to catch humans?
