Arrowhead Game has jam-packed so much into Helldivers 2. While it isn’t an open-world game, players are finding many hidden mechanics and secrets. For example, the Bile Titan can still mess up your extraction if you’re trying to leave the mission. Another secret that the developers haven’t been vocal about is the random Hellpods that appear on the map.
Players are finding Hellpods that give them extra equipment
If you’re like me and have played more than 20 hours you’ve probably seen these broken Hellpods lying around. On the surface, it looks like just another asset on the map for decoration like the buildings. However, thanks to Reddit user Armroker, if you destroy the Hellpod you can get whatever loot is in it. This makes resupplying less of a need if you come across one.Â
What you get out of the Hellpods seems to be random. But as you start getting more into Helldivers 2, you’ll notice everything you have in your arsenal is important. You may land on some weapons that can defeat the flying Terminds better. So always keep a look out for them.
How many broken Hellpods are there on each planet?
There seems to be no set number of these Hellpods, and they look like they appear in different spots. You’d need to go out onto the planets and find them. However, some players have reported they are in Terminds Nests. So locating one may be easy, but to get the loot, you have to get past the large number of bugs.Â
Note, that there are pods on the map that have Super Credits, but they are different than the broken Hellpods. The pods holding Super Credits are more common. So a telltale sign is that they’re found near buildings mostly.
