Solarix has been in development for some time and Pulsetense Games has been keeping rather quiet about the game’s progress. Today they’ve revealed that Solarix has now reached the alpha phase of development which was announced on their new Pulsetense website and forums. The update on the site reads:

During the past couple of months we have been totally focused on development and the good news is we are back on track. It’s amazing how much hard work pays off. I’d like to personally thank all the team for their efforts over the last few months, Solarix looks and plays better than ever.

To show how the game has progressed, they also released a new screenshot of the game’s new UI.

If you’ve not been following the game, Solarix is inspired by sci-fi movies and is described as a “psychological survival horror game featuring massively detailed open-ended levels encompassing both survival and stealth game-play styles”.

If you enjoyed games such as System Shock 2 and the early Thief games, then chances are Solarix will appeal.

According to Pulsetense, more updates and developer blogs will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
