Realtime World’s Dave Jones Not at Epic

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Over the past few weeks it has been rumoured that Epic were in the process of snapping up the APB IP following the demise of Dundee based developer Realtime Worlds. It was also suggested that Realtime World’s founder Dave Jones had hopped across the Atlantic and jumped in bed with Epic.
This evening through a comment post on Develop, Dave Jones has surfaced and put pay the idea that he was busy over the US joining up with the Epic team. “I’m still in Dundee and not in any way joining Epic. No idea where that rumour came from”.
The future of APB is still uncertain but according to administrator Begbies Traynor there are still interested parties.
This latest update from Dave doesn’t shed any light on whether Epic are interested in the title following the recent story that had been circulating that Epic were interested in the APB IP,  despite Epic’s Mark Rein ‘absolutely loving’ the game.
